• Jon Ballard

    Senior PASTOR

Jon, Christina and their family of 6 moved here January 2018 to serve with Connection Church. The Ballard's grew up in the Carolinas with a love for the ocean. They have served at churches in Florida and Tennessee and now are far away from the ocean; however, they believe they are right where God has called them. They love sharing Jesus with people and have fallen in love with Spearfish and the Black Hills.

You might find the Ballard family out hiking, biking or exploring the Hills. They have 2 sons and 2 daughters. Seth, the oldest is in college at BHSU; Kayla, 16, just got her first vehicle. Megan, 13 enjoys       and Josh, 10, has been shredding the hills with his new bike.

  • KALEB CARLIN

    WORSHIP & CONNECT GROUPS PASTOR

Kaleb and Jessica are a newly married couple settling in to the beautiful Black Hills area. When they aren't out in the Hills trying biking, winter sports or star-gazing, you might find them in a home, sharing a meal, and talking about God's amazing faithfulness! Kaleb serves full-time at Connection and has a heart for discipleship while Jessica loves blogging about Christ, trying new recipes and teaching aerial silks.

After serving 5 years in Louisiana, the Carlins moved to Spearfish by God's faithful timing and perfect plan. Both Kaleb and Jessica are eager to share Christ's scandalous love with others and lead God's children to His heart.
